Are You Caught Up In A Feeding Frenzy?
Just a Mojo shout out to our friends at FeedBlitz.
The other night, I transferred a couple thousand of our current subscribers from other websites and newsletter lists to Mojo’s new email list, which is provided by FeedBlitz. One of those jobs I like –effortless and a no-brainer; took about five minutes, tops.
If you’re not familiar with FeedBlitz, it’s one of the most popular RSS feed services around. FeedBlitz manages RSS feeds and then turns them into automated emails, Tweets and Instant Messages to subscribers.
Yep, Feedburner is also a terrific option if you want people to be advised of new info published to your blog, and I use them in other places, but I choose to use FeedBlitz for Mojo because we don’t have to publish a post online, and then format the copy and send out an email version with essentially the same information. The service does it for us, automatically sending out our new posts via email –but we’ve configured it to do this just once a day, so our subscribers won’t feel as if we’re bombarding them with information.
We use our own custom .html header design, and of course, FeedBlitz also provides us all sorts of helpful tracking data.
For us, no time lost duplicating our efforts. For our subscribers, you don’t have to open up your RSS reader or even browse the site to read new content when you’re really busy. It hits the mailbox automatically.
If you’re looking for an easy way to communicate with your clients and prospects – I’d highly suggest checking in with FeedBlitz. Not free –but certainly affordable and well worth it. (And no, we’re not affiliates or agents of either service.)

I use Feedburner Steve – is Feedblitz much better then? One thing I haven’t got my head round yet is syndicating Twitter, blog, Facebook et al to one system. Is this the (easiest!) way to go?
FeedBlitz allows you to select the time your blog posts will be released to your email list, and does it automatically. If you have a big list, it’s a good service. For smaller sites, Feedburner is terrific, too…just didn’t give me all the control I desired on Marketing Mojo.
Hi Steve! Thanks for the helpful info on FeedBlitz. I’ve been looking for a good source for staying in touch with my peeps…and a way to cut out all the(as Amos McCoy would say) “galdarned” crap and busy-work. Keep the great ideas a-flowin’!
