It seems to me the great advantage in digital advertising is the speed at which information is passing among marketers. When one develops a profitable idea, it is quickly passed to affiliates, who then pass to their affiliates, etc. Likewise, when direct mail marketers learn what works and what does not, they go online to sell this information, usually at a reasonable price. Just another way of saying a good marketing education is becoming ever more affordable even if good copy sometimes sells bad product.
