Good point Tim and thanks for adding some sage advice here. That arrogant attitude in many peoples' posts or Twits or Facebook updates is something I also find flat irritating. I don't have a problem with "What a day! Time to pop open a bottle of wine and relax" but I take umbrage (and my finger hovers dangerously close to the "delete this follower") when I read "Long day shooting Paris and her friends. Time to open a bottle of Cristal Champagne and a tin of Beluga caviar." Not only a yawn, but a real turn-off in my book.

So, Tim. I'd add a few more thoughts but I've got a very important International Consulting call coming up here with the Sultan of Yankistan, talking about marketing his little island country... ;-)

Good stuff Doc! i noticed in social media sites, some people take press releases and over do it. It becomes a form of bragging and arrogance. Like "I booked this wedding in Hawaii" "I just became the number one such and such." As long as people are also sharing good content and engaging in building relationships online there is room for tooting your own horn and sending out press releases often, but people need to be careful not to brag a lot in social media. It's a big turn off and will get you unfollowed for sure. Arrogance, self-centeredness, or bragging is actually one of the seven deadly social media sins.
