We Tickle The Other Keyboard Tomorrow.

Doc's think by numbers

Steppin’ out on stage tomorrow. Saturday, 4 pm, Lansing’s Old Town Blues Fest. I’m playing with my friend, bluesman James Armstrong. All-original material from a great writer and musician.

Just like the old Pop-Up Video show, you can now refer to the above photo for some insider information:

1. This is a free concert and bathroom facilities are provided free of charge. There’s food and drink and if you live within a 100-mile radius of Lansing, Michigan, there’s no excuse for you not to attend either today or tomorrow.

2. I’ll probably be wearing this shirt, which was custom-made for me by the fabulous singer/seamstress Shaun Murphy. You know her from Little Feat, Bob Seger and several other great groups. Visit Shaun right here. Thrill to her voice. Order her brand new CD. It’s killer. www.shaunmurphyband.com

3. I’ve discovered that the older you get, the tougher it is to lose weight because by then, your body and your fat are really good friends.

4. That sinister-looking man staring at me is drummer Bobby Gardner. He won’t be playing with me this time around, but you can catch him at the Blues Fest with his regular band, Root Doctor. And no, he’s not sinister at all. Just one very cool dude.
